وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
“And those who believe and do righteous good deeds, they are dwellers of paradise, they will dwell therein forever” [2:83]

Tarbiya Chaplaincy is vital in supporting Muslim inmates in the Sacramento County jail, offering them a lifeline of spiritual care and resources. Chaplain Timur is at the forefront of this effort, dedicating himself to visiting the jail on a weekly basis. His team’s commitment extends beyond mere visits; they provide a range of spiritual care services that include classes, correspondence, and coordinating valuable resources for Muslim inmates. This holistic approach helps inmates find solace, guidance, and a sense of community during their incarceration.

Tarbiya Chaplaincy would like to extend heartfelt gratitude for the generous support of organizations like Usuli Institute, Link Outside, and MCC East Bay, who have donated books and resources to enhance the spiritual well-being of inmates in our region. Their contributions enrich the lives of those behind bars and demonstrate the power of collaboration in creating positive change. If you are interested in joining this compassionate and dedicated team of chaplains and want to contribute to expanding these essential services to other institutions in the region, please reach out to [email protected]. We are actively recruiting and training male and female chaplains in Sacramento and Elk Grove facilities. Your involvement can make a significant difference in the lives of incarcerated individuals seeking spiritual guidance and support.
