Tarbiya Institute is a California-based Islamic organization that aspires to educate, train and empower generations of American Muslims through the lens of authentic Islamic knowledge, and to address new and modern challenges, thereby fostering an American Muslim identity.
Tarbiya Institute is excited to announce a new position - "Tarbiya’s Ta’leem Center Mentor [Cohort-2].” This position will oversee the mentorship of the second cohort at Tarbiya’s educational project.
Tasks will include:
Teaching, mentorship, management, and daily oversight of cohort 2 (a male and a female are needed for gender-segregated cohorts).
Work hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mon-Fri.
Homeschooled children will be mentored 5 days a week in three major areas of knowledge: Islamic Creed, Islamic studies, and secular sciences.
Additionally, the mentor will organize field trips, volunteer opportunities, and hands-on training for the children.
The ideal candidate should be an educator with preferably a master’s degree, a deep love for Allah (SWT), a sound devotion to the Deen, advanced Islamic knowledge, and a deep passion to serve the Muslim community by empowering its children. However, interested applicants will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Tarbiya will conduct training programs to bring mentors up to speed with curriculum requirements.
