Imagine yourself standing before Allah (swt) as He opens your hands, places in them a sacred trust and tells you exactly what to do with it. Would you ever deviate from His instructions? Well, that is exactly what He does in Surat al-Hadid:

ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ
وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ

Have faith in God and His Messenger, and give from what He has entrusted you. [57:7]

The wealth that Allah, most Gracious, has blessed us with is not our own. It is a trust. We create our monthly budgets and spend on ourselves, our families, and this Dunya. We're happy to commit monthly to AT&T, Netflix, Apple, Samsung, Honda and Tesla. Shouldn't we all have a monthly contribution to the Masjid which brings value to our life and our afterlife? If you are not a monthly contributor, let's change that today. If you are already contributing, ask yourself if you believe that Allah's house should receive more from what Allah entrusted you with. Our community has a habit of pioneering goodness. Let's lead by example and demonstrate what it means to be both financially and spiritually responsible. The time has come for us to balance our spiritual budgets.
