Education

Tarbiya...

is a linguistic derivative of the word Rabb, or Lord, and it denotes a comprehensive process of personal progress, whereby an individual grows spiritually, intellectually and socially to achieve a godly life. In the context of Islamic work, it's about helping individuals acquire the needed skills and knowledge base through a structured educational process to achieve harmony between their divine obligations and worldly responsibilities. At Tarbiya Institute, we offer many educational opportunities for every member of the family such as our library Dar-ul-Hikmah, Friday Night Tafseerah, Part-Time Seminary, Arabic Intensive Program, Nizami Order, Sunday School, Summer Camp, and more!

Dar-ul-Hikmah

Seeking of knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim [Prophet Muhammad ﷺ]

Expand our library of knowledge, by sharing yours. We are excited to share that the Tarbiya Institute library, Dar ul-Hikmah, is now open!

Help build our library of Islamic knowledge by dropping off books on Fridays at Tarbiya House Roseville (10031 Foothills Blvd., Roseville CA 95747). Please note that the library will maintain a focus on Islamic materials in English as well as housing authentic classical Islamic materials in Arabic. We welcome all gifts of new and gently used books with the understanding that the Tarbiya Institute library committee holds final discretion on inclusion.

Summer Camp 2021

A Journey Through the Muslim World

At the Tarbiya Summer Camp, “A Journey Through the Muslim World,” we will dedicate each week to exploring the Islamic heritage and discoveries of one continent. Each day, your child will spend their time learning about that discovery, the Muslim scholar that did the discovery, and understanding its relevance to his/her daily life. By the end of camp, not only will the campers learn about the exciting discoveries by Muslims, they will be inspired to work toward their own innovations!
