We are blessed with a community that is rich in culture and diversity that we celebrated last Friday night with a potluck event that brought over 15 different cultures and showcased their foods, decor, folk music and memorabilia. Different booths were set up to show the heritages that make up our diverse community with maps, textiles, and information highlighting the contribution to Islam each area had made. We also had vendors present doing henna designs and selling clothing and other items. The event even captured the attention of ABC10 and was featured on the news in a Culture and Race segment. If you missed it, don’t worry, we will be hosting another Culture Fest next year!
