A 2-part workshop covering basic counseling skills to improve your ability to connect and advise the young people in your communities. You will learn engagement skills, experience nonverbal and verbal communication principles, and receive hands-on practical training backed by research done on and with the American Muslim community. You will leave more confident to address the needs of the youth in your community.

You must be 18+ to register for this workshop. Limited seats available.

Dr. Sameera Ahmed

Sameera Ahmed holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, has a private clinical practice in Canton, MI, and has taught classes at a variety of universities across the nation. She is known for her contributions in promoting Muslim mental health through the publication of Counseling Muslims: Handbook of Mental Health Issues and Interventions, the most cited, internationally known academic book on Muslim Mental health.
