Redefining Mental Health

A Spiritual Perspective
mental health

Islam is not just a set of rituals, but rather it is a holistic way of life that guides us in every circumstance. As believers, we seek to live our lives, inspired by Islam in every way. Whether it’s business, or education, or medicine, or parenting, we constantly turn back to God’s Book and His Messenger. Yet somehow, for too many Muslims today, this does not extend to our mental wellbeing. Why is that where we draw the line? Why do we stop following the Prophetic methodology when it comes to our psychological state? It’s time for us to fix this problem as a community and, finally, revive the teachings of Rasulullah (S) on mental wellbeing.

For Jumaa, Imam Sherif will deliver a khutba on the Prophet Muhammad (S)’s Perspective on Mental Health.

In the evening, we will have Sr. Nazia Khan from MAS-SSF join Imam Kamran on a meaningful discussion on Redefining Mental Health from a Spiritual Perspective at 7:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served.
