Taraweeh

Tarbiya's Imams and guest speakers will focus on the spiritual gems shared by Imam Abul-Faraj ibn-ul-Jawzi's widely read book, Sayd al-Khaatir, or Captured Thoughts. In this book, ibn-ul-Jawzi wrapped some of the most effective gifts of spiritual admonition. Through the book, we hope that we can shed a brighter light on our acts of worship, and how to achieve the goal of Ubudiyyah, following the ayah in the Quran:

قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

Say, “Surely my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are all for Allah—Lord of all worlds. [6:162]
