اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ
Allah, there is no god except He, the Living, the Everlasting. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep [Qur'an 2:255]
This Qur'anic verse became the straw that every believer holds on to, and the glimmer of providence at the end of a dark tunnel. To know that everything in the universe is under divine sway, and nothing happens without divine leave, is the most hopeful conviction! Ayat Al-Kursi became synonymous with hope: in a better tomorrow, in the certainty of God's management of our lives, in new beginnings, and in peace in heaven.
This Ramadan our Imams will explore the theme: "Verses of Hope", touching upon verses from the Qur'an that incite hope in the heart, helping us endure the difficult realities of our times.
From Gaza, Trump, and looming wars, to financial insecurity, bigotry and helplessness, challenges abound, but hope still thrives. As men and women of faith, our directive is to never lose hope in Allah's mercy, and to tread the world steadily, keeping it from suffocating itself, and breathing sanity into its corners. This world has a possessor who manages its affairs and we're here to execute His will.
Join us this Ramadan for nightly Isha, Taraweeh, and a khatirah delivered bay the Imams, renewing hope in our hearts inspired by the sacred Qur'an.
