Nizami Order - Coordinator

The Nizami Coordinator at the Tarbiya Institute is a full-time management position for the Nizami Program. 

Responsibilities:

Tarbiya Institute shall employ the Nizami Coordinator on the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. The Nizami Coordinator agrees to all his/her duties under this Agreement. In general, they are expected to perform all of the following duties:

  • Maintain office hours on Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Tarbiya House Roseville.

  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness and put forth continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes as well as to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the program. 

  • Regularly report to the Senior Imam who will act as the employee's immediate supervisor. The Senior Imam may designate others from time to time to supervise the employee’s work at his discretion. 

  • Maintain and update the handbook to reflect the most current status of the program. 

  • Consult with the Senior Imam and Nizami Committee to develop a comprehensive and appropriate curriculum for the program on a regular basis.  

  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Imam in order to provide a spiritual presence and further enhance the Islamic educational experience for the Majalis Mentors and Students. 

  • Maintain liaison with all Majalis leaders in the program to monitor progress, collect updates, coordinate program activities, implement program policies as well as execute measures that ensure that program objectives are being implemented and met.

  • Assist with the administrative duties related to recruiting, interviewing and vetting Majalis leaders and students.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute orientations for new mentors and new majalis, as well as graduations for existing majalis.

  • Work with Majalis leaders to help plan, coordinate and execute meetings, events, trips and group projects. Assist in the planning, coordination as well as implementation of seminars, conferences, workshops and training. 

  • Audit every majlis twice a year and submit updates in a biannual report.

  • Oversee all program related issues and provide comprehensive documentation of all program activities. 

  • Conduct Quarterly Nizami Committee meetings to update mentors and gather feedback to submit in reports to the Senior Imam.

  • Collect quarterly progress reports from all Majalis groups and compile all results in the biannual reports that shall be documented and provided to the Senior Imam. 

  • Monitor and document all logistical and financial requirements related to all program matters which includes but is not limited to student tuition, honorarium for speakers, expenses related to workshops, events, training, activities etc. 

  • Create an Annual Plan and Annual Calendar for the program and submit Biannual Reports.

  • Assist in researching, acquiring, writing and executing new grants to benefit the Nizami Order.

  • Other duties may arise from time to time and may be assigned to the Nizami Coordinator.
