Office Manager

Tarbiya Institute is a fast-growing Non-Profit Islamic Organization that is seeking an Office Manager to oversee the daily office activities, organization and management. 
Duties and responsibilities
  • Maintain office hours at Tarbiya House Roseville or Natomas from Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Report on a regular basis to the Campus Imam of the assigned location who will act as the employee's immediate supervisor. 

  • In addition to the Campus Imam, the Office Manager will be required to report to the Senior Imam and work with the Tarbiya Institute Executive Management. 

  • Arrange travel, meetings and appointments for the Campus Imam.

  • Work with the Campus Imam to process all cash collected from donations on a weekly basis, all checks related to Sunday School, Summer Camp, Honorariums, Donations and Food Vendors and also to process reimbursements and zakat forms. 

  • Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries and manage outgoing mail.

  • Maintain and manage regular communication via email and phone throughout the week, with employer, staff, volunteers, community and recipients of services. 

  • File, organize, maintain inventory, order and stock general office supplies at Tarbiya House Roseville. Inventory of items will be updated on a central list and items will be restocked when inventory is low. 

  • Manage the Janitorial Services.

  • Manage the Tarbiya House and help coordinate setup and clean-up for events, activities and ongoing programs. Create a system of management which may run autonomously with regular supervision. Maintain regular supervision of such management systems.

  • Successfully recruit and manage volunteers to carry out tasks and perform duties to ensure the success of the programs and activities. 

Skills
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Highly skilled in organization, planning and scheduling.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
