IMAM SHERIF
Imam Sherif is the Co-Founder, Director of the Seminary, Nizami Order, and Chaplaincy at Tarbiya Institute, and an entrepreneur whose career spans more than two decades. He studied English Literature, Business Administration and Islamic Studies and received a Master’s in Strategic Business Unit Management from HEC Paris. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Nonprofit Leadership and Management. For fifteen years, Imam Sherif worked as Chief Development Officer to a large real estate and property investment firm in the Gulf, managed a leading scientific company involved in the health and research sector, and was a supply chain consultant for several large corporations in the Middle East. Imam Sherif was trained in the Islamic sciences, finished memorizing the Quran at a young age, and receiving a degree from The Islamic Studies Institute in Egypt. Constantly involved, he volunteered at numerous Islamic institutions in Ohio, Nevada, and California. Five years ago, Imam Sherif decided to move with his family to Sacramento and helped to co-found Tarbiya Institute with his brother Imam Azeez as well as co-founding California Real Traders, a California-based real estate investment company. He brings a host of Islamic knowledge, professional experience and a passion to further Islamic education initiatives in the Muslim community.
