One of the ways that God’s promise of a good life is fulfilled is through the children we raise to become righteous men and women of faith.
Yet many parents will tell you that children can also be the cause of immense anxiety and grief. Many people feel that raising children requires them to suspend their own lives. Some set unreasonably low expectations, and still they fear that the children will not meet them. Some couples even fear to bring children into this world. But when we examine the prophetic example, we see a completely different approach to parenthood. What was the secret ingredient of the prophet model of parenting that guaranteed the general wellbeing of his children?
