Br. Arturo's Shahada

What happens when someone is interested in joining the fold of our beautiful faith and what does that process look like? Many wonder about the steps, but few are blessed with the opportunity to witness this blessed journey. One of our chaplain assistants, Br. Ali, has been working with a dear brother who expressed interest in Islam and his friend Br. Fawad. Over the course of the past few weeks, they developed a brotherhood that is rooted in something greater than both of them. On the blessed day of Jumaa, we were honored to welcome Br. Arturo into the fold of Islam and to our Tarbiya family.

At Tarbiya Chaplaincy, we believe that taking the shahadah is the first step of a new Muslim’s journey, not the last. Our chaplain assistants are helping folks walk this journey every day Alhamdulillah.
