The Tarbiya Seminary is proud to present a new summer course, "Akhlaq: The Anchor of Faith." The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Verily, I have only been sent to perfect good/righteous character,” eloquently summarizing the primary objective of his message. In a world that has deviated from the fundamental principles of akhlaq, and with the broken moral system that we face, learning and practicing good Akhlaq has become a necessity to preserve our deen and follow the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (PBUH).

In this class taught by Imam Sherif, we will offer an in depth analysis of the book “Muslim Character” by Sh. Al-Ghazali. The delves into the essence of Islamic ethics, emphasizing the importance of character development in the life of a Muslim. Sh. Al-Ghazali explores the virtues and qualities that define a noble character, drawing references from the Quran, Hadith, and the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He brings forth concepts such as sincerity, patience, humility, and compassion, highlighting their significance in achieving spiritual growth and closeness to Allah. Through introspection and self-discipline, readers are encouraged to embark on a journey of self-improvement aimed at attaining moral excellence and fulfilling the purpose of their faith.
